Six players who could be part of Moyes’ plans after arriving at Old Trafford from loans

Ryan Tunnicliffe, Michael Keane and Tom Lawrence have had their loan spells continued past January while six Manchester United players will remain at their respective clubs, United has confirmed.

Jesse Lingard, Will Keane, Davide Petrucci, Federico Macheda, Tyler Blackett and Ben Amos have all returned to Manchester United from their loan spells.

Currently, there is no definitive answer on whether Nick Powell will stay on loan at Wigan but his current boss Uwe Rosler has hinted that he will.

David Moyes indicated that players returning from loan could play a role for United this season and these six youngsters have a chance to fulfil that spot – but who is the most likely to play?

On paper, Jesse Lingard is the hot favourite to gain some valuable game time. Alongside Wilfried Zaha, he was one of the most promising players on the pre-season tour and deserves an opportunity to impress. Given how poor our wingers have been, he should definitely get a chance.

Ben Amos certainly has a chance. David de Gea is clearly United’s No. 1 and Moyes has made that abundantly clear. With Lindegaard likely to be unhappy to play second fiddle, he could leave this year which would pave the way for Amos to be De Gea’s understudy where he would gain a lot more experience.

Federico Macheda has had fleeting moments of stardom but with his contract expiring, it looks like the right time for him to move on and revive his career somewhere else.

As for Will Keane and Tyler Blackettboth are players who could potentially be given first team opportunities especially Keane due to his goalscoring exploits. Blackett has shown his worth but in comparison to Keane, he is a few steps behind him on the ladder.

We all wanted Davide Petrucci at United but injuries marred that progress. The fact that he found himself on the bench on his loan spell speaks volumes of where he is right now.
