Manchester United will face one of Birmingham, Crawley or Bristol Rovers in the fourth round of the FA Cup if we are able to beat Swansea today.
If United do beat Swansea, it will end a run of a 13 straight Premier League opponents in domestic cup competitions.
You have to go back to 2004 for the last time United won the FA Cup and in David Moyes’ first season in charge, a domestic cup would be a fantastic way to start his tenure at Old Trafford in the right way with a trophy to get the proverbial monkey off his back.
As always, domestic cup competitions are also a great way for youngsters to get valuable experience with the first team so from that perspective, a cup run is also really beneficial to blooding some more youngsters into the first team.
The fourth round ties will be played on 25/26 January.
