David Moyes has admitted he doesn’t think that Manchester United will sign anybody in the January transfer window
The winter window was seen as an opportunity to bring some much needed life into a squad that has been stretched beyond it’s ability so far this year thanks to a number of contributing factors including terrible injuries. However, Moyes has hinted that will not happen.
Moyes bringing in new faces to strengthen for the winter was seen as a given but in an interview yesterday, he brushed of any potential move for a player coming into Old Trafford in January.
“I don’t think so,” he replied when asked if United would strengthen in January.
“I think most of the business will be more towards the summer rather than January.”
Back in September, Moyes insisted that United need ‘five or six’ players to compete with the very best in Europe yet on January 14 he claimed that the squad was looking very strong. Mixed signals indeed.
