Wilfried Zaha is being chased by six clubs who want to sign him from Manchester United on loan in January, according to Sky Sports.
It isn’t a surprise given that the 21-year-old has had hardly any game time at all in his debut season at Old Trafford but there is absolutely no way that David Moyes should let Zaha leave.
Our wingers have been in terrible form all season with the exception of Adnan Januzaj and some purple patches from Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young. If our current wingers were on form, then it would make sense to let Zaha gain some first team experience elsewhere but we actually need him to play in the first team. With little to no competition for places, surely it is only a matter of time before he plays.
On top of our wingers poor form, Nani is currently sidelined with a long term hamstring injury while Young is out with a shoulder problem. That leaves only two fit wingers in Januzaj and Valencia. Right now, we are not spoiled for choice and can’t let Zaha, an exciting and hungry youngster with bags of potential, leave the club.
David Moyes has insisted on numerous occasions that he will give him the game time when he is ready and now is the time to throw him into a big game from the start. Moyes has shown through Januzaj and taking numerous youngsters in his match day squads that he is prepared to give youngsters a chance, so it is time he gave Zaha his because both the club and Zaha need it.
Everybody has poked jibes at Chelsea all season for letting Romelu Lukaku leave on loan when their strikers can’t hit a barn door but if Moyes lets Zaha leave when our wingers are playing so badly, the shoe will be on the other foot.
