Adnan Januzaj made all the difference for Manchester United today against Swansea and he oozed confidence whenever he had the ball at his feet.
He was the architect for United at a time when we desperately needed somebody to step up and his lack of fear really came across in the fact that he was always willing to run at a defender to try and make something happen. Whereas others looked for the pass, Januzaj assumed responsibility.
The 18-year-old was deservedly named man of the match for his outstanding performance against Swansea and in his first post match interview, he insisted that he doesn’t feel fear at all despite it being his debut season at Old Trafford.
“It makes a big difference,” Januzaj said of the win.
“We got three points, the team won and we all did well so I hope we keep going.
“I don’t feel any fear on the pitch. I just play my game and try to do my best.”
You have to keep reminding yourself that he is just 18 and I’m not even sure that pressure is even a word in his vocabulary. For somebody so young to have such an influence at a team like United is rare and he is only going to get better.
His heatmap from the game says it all. He is our sunshine boy and right now, he can’t put a foot wrong.
