Transfer round up: Mata and Koke in for United but Guarin out

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United have been offered Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin in a January deal so that they can free funds up to secure Lazio playmaker Hernanes according to various sources.

Atletico Madrid’s Koke is a name that United have been linked with all year but it seems like we may have been in for him last summer according to reports that suggest Koke rejected a move to United.

According to The Mirror, United have made contact with Chelsea over the availability of Juan Mata and have expressed a desire to bring him to Old Trafford in the summer. Last year, we were strongly linked with a swap deal for Mata that would see Rooney go the other way but nothing ever materialised.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both shown interest in Ateletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez and it could create a bidding war that could see his value spiral to £20 million, according to The Mirror.

Edison Cavani is considered the solution to United if Rooney were to leave in the summer says ESPN. Is he good enough to replace Rooney at United if he were to leave in the summer?
