Robin van Persie was the first player to welcome Juan Mata to Manchester United this afternoon and dropped a subtle hint that he will be ready in time to face Cardiff on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old has been out of action since injuring his thigh when taking a corner against Shakhtar Donetsk but it sounds like he might be fit to return to the squad which will be a massive boost to the squad.
We have missed Van Persie’s clinical finishing and if he can combine that with Mata’s technical abilities, United will be absolutely unstoppable in attack.

As well as Van Persie, a few other players have also sent their welcome messages to Mata and De Gea will be more pleased than most because he has now got a compatriot at the club.
