Transfer round up: Double departure from United and Brazilian in Moyes’ sights

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United face a battle to sign Luke Shaw from Southampton and may have to wait until the summer to have any chance in signing him according to The Independent.

The Daily Mirror says David Moyes has decided to tell Wayne Rooney all of United’s transfer plans for the up and coming windows in order to give him the best possible picture of where the club is going in the next few years.

Atletico Madrid’s left-back Luis Felipe is on Moyes’ radar according to the Daily MailRated at £18 million, the Brazilian could be a great alternative option to Luke Shaw and Fabio Coentrao.

Paris St Germain have had a £14 million bid for Newcastle’s Yohann Cabaye rejected and if David Moyes is genuinely interested in bringing him to Old Trafford, then he would be wise to act fast otherwise PSG may sign Cabaye under his nose.

Lothar Matthaus has claimed that Toni Kroos will sign a new contract with Bayern Munich despite the fact he has currently stalled on a new deal with the German champions.

Both Wilfried Zaha and Fabio are going to finalise their moves to Cardiff in the next few days after completing medicals yesterday.
