Fulham have submitted bids for Ryan Tunnicliffe and Larnell Cole and hope to have a deal for both completed by Friday, according to Sky Sports.
Both midfielders are well-known to Rene Meulensteen who coached them at Reserve level and have been part of some very successful academy teams at United, notably the FA Youth Cup winning side of 2011.
It isn’t known whether Fulham’s bids are to sign the pair on loan or whether it is for a permanent deal but it would be a surprise if United let Cole go permanently as he has been making great strides towards the first team. As for Tunnicliffe, I see Ben Pearson as a stronger candidate than him to make it into United’s first team, so a Tunnicliffe exit could happen.
Tunnicliffe has enjoyed a succesful loan spell at Ipswich this season but Cole hasn’t featured very much at all for United at any level.
Meulensteen was a great coach for both of them in our academy and helped mould them into the players they are today so it would certainly be a good move for their careers to play Premier League football at Fulham, but it is yet unknown whether David Moyes is willing to let either leave.
