David Moyes confirms Nani’s injury is worse than first feared

David Moyes has revealed that Nani’s injury is worse than originally thought and he could face another month on the sidelines.

Nani injured his hamstring towards the end of the December and was ruled out for month but now he won’t feature until the start of March.

The 27-year-old has had rotten luck with injuries in the past couple of seasons and this is the latest blow for him which will stop him getting a regular place in Moyes’ side.

United’s wingers have been poor and inconsistent this season and if fit, Nani would have no doubt regularly featured for Moyes but his injuries have stopped that from happening.

Up until last year, Nani had never suffered a serious injury and it seems to have caused a knock-on effect for the Portuguese winger which has marred his past two seasons.

Hopefully he can overcome this latest setback and return to become an important player for United in the latter part of the season.
