Yeovil Town have confirmed that Manchester United striker Tom Lawrence has joined them on loan until the end of the season.
Lawrence has already been out on loan this season having joined League One side Carlisle United in December.
He made eight league appearances during his loan spell where he scored three times and got two assists. Carlisle United made no secret of their desire to keep him for the rest of the season but the step up to Championship level football should be good for his development.
He’ll always be remembered at Brunton Park after scoring two goal of the season contenders in their match against Tranmere Rovers early this season.
Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson was delighted to secure Lawrence on loan on transfer deadline day.
He said: “I am very pleased to be able to bring Tom into our squad from Manchester United. He’s a player that can play either side wide or as a regular number 10.
Tom has got tremendous potential and has shown that at League One level with Carlisle and Manchester United have given us the opportunity to bring him on further in the Championship.”
