Manchester United add five new players to Champions League squad including midfielder and two strikers

Manchester United have added Darren Fletcher to their UEFA Champions League squad for the knockout stages as well as four other players including goalkeeper Ben Amos.

Jesse Lingard, Michael Keane and 18-year-old striker James Wilson have been added to the B-list while a total of six players were removed from our squad.

Anderson, Larnell Cole, Fabio Pereira, Sam Johnstone, Tom Thorpe and Wilfried Zaha are the six players who have been removed because they have either left the club on permanent deals or are currently away on loan.

For Fletcher, this completes his return to the playing squad. He was not included in the group stage squad because David Moyes was unsure as to whether he would be able to regain his full fitness following surgery on his ulcerative colitis condition but he has defied all the odds to become an important player for United once again, which is fantastic to see.

Lingard makes the step up to the squad to replace Cole and as for Wilson, it is a just reward for his performances so far this season in our Under-18s, Under-19s and Under-21s.
