Manchester United unveil 2014 Tour destination

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United have officially unveiled that the 2014/2015 pre-season tour destination will be USA.

We last visited America back in 2011 where we enjoyed an undefeated tour spread over five games, scoring 20 goals and conceded just three along the way, including a 2 -1 victory over Barcelona thanks to goals from Nani and Michael Owen.

Unsurprisingly, Javier Hernandez has been chosen as the poster boy for the tour because of the large Hispanic following of United in America but it is interesting given that his future at Old Trafford is far from secure.

Of course, Park Ji Sung was used as part of the marketing campaign for our pre-season tour back in 2012 but was consequently removed as he left the club, so it isn’t a tell-tale sign that Hernandez will remain at United past this summer.

More details about the tour will be released in due course.
