Adnan Januzaj has been named Manchester United’s Player of the Month for January.
With a landslide 75% of the vote, Januzaj was the clear winner ahead of fellow nominees Chris Smalling and Danny Welbeck.
This is the second time that Januzaj has been named Player of the Month having won it back in October.
It is a great birthday present for Januzaj who turns 19 tomorrow and speaking to ManUtd.com, Januzaj looked forward to winning many more trophies in the future
“I am very happy with this trophy and I hope it is not the last one. I hope there will be a lot more to come.”
Januzaj’s chant has become one of the favourite songs for United supporters home and away this season, and he admitted it was a source of motivation for him whenever the fans sing it.
He added: “Of course. I like it when they sing because it gives me a bit of motivation as well. I am very happy with it.”
January may not have been a good month for United in terms of results but Januzaj looked strong throughout the month despite a few blips along the way and in a season of mediocrity, Januzaj has been one of the shining beacons for David Moyes.
