Adnan Januzaj has had a whirlwind year at Manchester United and has shown no signs of slowing in an outstanding debut season with the first team.
The 18-year-old was rewarded for his recent efforts and was named United’s player of the Month for January as his performances were the brightest spark in a poor month for the club results wise.
Speaking with ManUtd.com about his trophy, Januzaj admitted he was pleased with the progress he made and laid out his intention to win more trophies and become the best player at United.
He said: “I am quite pleased with my year, I have done a lot of work and have been integrating into the first team. I have played games and I think there is more to come. I hope to win trophies at this club and be the best player.”
Januzaj was also questioned about how Mata has bonded with the team so far and insisted that the Spaniard has settled immediately and is a player who he intends to learn a lot from.
He added: “He is a great player and I think I am going to learn a lot from him. He is a technical player who is very clever. He scores goals and gives assists. We are very happy to have Mata at the club.”
Januzaj has only been involved for five minutes in the last two games as David Moyes has given him a much deserved rest but he is in line for a return when Fulham travel to Old Trafford on Sunday and after his Player of the Month award, he should be full of confidence.
