VIDEO: Fans at Old Trafford sing The Flowers of Manchester

Every year at 3pm, Manchester United fans gather underneath the Munich memorial plaque to sing The Flowers of Manchester in their own tribute to those that lost their lives in The Munich Air Disaster.

It is an emotional occasion and a chance for fans to pay their respects to The Busby Babes and no matter how much time passes, it will always be a day when United stops to remember.

Days like this remind fans about the history of United, why it is such a special club and how it rose from the ashes like a phoenix under the watchful eye of Jimmy Murphy. United wouldn’t be where it is today without them. Rest in peace.

Oh Manchester, Manchester United,

A bunch of bouncing Busby Babes,

They deserved to be knighted.

Whenever they’re playing in your town,

Be sure to get to that football ground,

Take a lesson, come and see, Football taught by Matt Busby,

Oh Manchester, Manchester United,

A bunch of bouncing Busby Babes,

They deserved to be knighted.
