Real Madrid are very interested at the prospect of signing Juventus’ Arturo Vidal in the summer according to MARCA, who ran with the story as a front page splash this week.
Valued at €60m, Vidal is one of Europe’s finest all-round midfielders and has been an integral member of Juventus’ side that hass won the Serie A for the past two years. They are on for their third successive title currently with a nine-point gap atop the league.
Vidal is a midfielder who David Moyes watched in action this January and reports suggested that we had already held initial discussions with his representatives.

The problem for United if Madrid compete for Vidal’s signature is that we have lost out on a few players in recent years when it comes to competing with Madrid.
Karim Benzema, Mesut Ozil and most recently the talented Raphael Varane are a few players who United let slip through the net thanks to Madrid and the same could happen with Vidal.
However, United could ill afford to lose out on a player like Vidal if he was available in the summer. If push comes to shove, Ed Woodward would have to show some real financial muscle and pay over the odds for him just because of how brilliant he would be for United.
We coped when we lost out on the likes of Benzema and Ozil but missing out on one of Europe’s finest midfielders, if he chooses to look for a new adventure, is not acceptable this summer.
