As soon as Mata got off his helicopter at Carrington, greeted him with a warm embrace and it was clear from the first minute that they were going to be close friends at United.
De Gea and Mata have played alongside each other before at the 2012 London Olympics as well as with the Spain Under-21s side and it must be great having a compatriot with you, especially in a foreign environment.
Their friendship should help both of them grow as players at Old Trafford and out in Dubai, the pair are seemingly inseparable.

I wonder if they are sharing a room that accidentally gave them a double bed instead of two singles.
De Gea has been outstanding in the past 20 months but the arrival of Mata should help him reach even new heights and for Mata, having somebody like De Gea to talk to, should really be a massive help for getting him settled as soon as possible.
