Inter Milan’s president Erick Thohir has confirmed that a deal to bring Nemanja Vidic to Italy in the summer is ‘90% complete’.
A few weeks ago, Vidic confirmed that he was going to leave Manchester United and it seems that Inter Milan is where the Serbian will move next.
Although a deal is not yet complete, it sounds like it is just a case of finalising the paperwork before anything can be announced.
“Vidic? I can not say more than that 90% is made. When everything is defined will make an announcement. Do not make me say anything that is not concrete yet,” he said.
There’s no way that Vidic is finished yet as a professional footballer and the slower pace of the Serie A could bring the best out of him again should he be able to avoid injuries.
In all honesty, United fans would have been happy to see Vidic remain at the club for at least another year but he has decided to move on to pastures new and nobody will begrudge him for that because he has been a fantastic servant to United over the years.
