Manchester United striker Angelo Henriquez, who is on loan at Real Zaragoza, has suffered an injury in his first start since returning from an illness which kept him out at the start of the year.
He was substituted off at half time in Real Zaragoza’s 2-0 loss to Real Madrid B.
Speaking after the match Zaragoza boss Paco Herrera feared that the Chilean international would be out for a month.
He went to Chiron Hospital in Zaragoza and had Nuclear Magnetic Resonance scans and was diagnosed with torn myofascial fibers in the rectus muscle of the right thigh.
Henriquez has taken to Twitter to thank fans for the messages of support he has received and insisted he’ll be back in action as soon as possible.
“Thanks for all the supportive comments and encouragement. I will work to be as soon as possible,” he said.
The Spanish press have confirmed that the injury is not as bad as originally feared but the club have not set a date for his return.
