Manchester United want winger labelled ‘the best natural talent since Cristiano Ronaldo’ at Sporting Lisbon

Manchester United consider Sporting Lisbon winger Carlos Mane a top target for this summer and he has been labelled ‘the best natural talent’ Sporting have seen since Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Daily Mail.

The 19-year-old burst onto the scene in the last few weeks with match winning performances against Olahense and Rio Ave, which has led to him being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Mane has shown his natural talent over the past few weeks but is he the best natural talent Sporting have seen since Ronaldo?

The Peoples Person talked to Portuguese football expert Jan Hagen about Mane’s potential to become as good as Ronaldo and Jan believes that it is far too soon to make any judgement on him but admitted the early signs are impressive.

He said: “It’s too soon to say but the early signs have shown a very talented, young guy who absolutely has what it takes to become a great footballer with the right attitude and enough time on the pitch.”

Sometimes names are attached to young players far too early and there is no bigger comparison than to be placed in Ronaldo’s bracket within a few weeks of your real breakthrough at senior level but the early signs for Mane are certainly that he has the potential to be a world-class player in the future.

United’s wingers have drastically under-performed this season and in a summer that is expected to be one of the biggest in the club’s history, talents like Mane could certainly be on their way into Old Trafford.
