Manchester United are going to make a club record £40 million bid for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos and are confident of signing him, according to The Mirror.
Bayern Munich have stood firm that Kroos is not for sale this summer but a £40 million bid for a player who is entering the last year of his contract would surely be an offer that is too good to turn down.
The 24-year-old was in action against Manchester United at Old Trafford this week where he enjoyed the atmosphere and when he had words with Guardiola after being substituted on the sideline, it visibly showed that his situation with Bayern is far from rosy right now.
The Mirror also ran with an exclusive earlier this season that Manchester United have already agreed a £37.5 million to sign Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho so if both deals go through, our midfield would be in the best shape it has been since the days of Roy Keane and Paul Scholes.
