Toni Kroos’ agent says he won’t leave Bayern Munich this summer

by Sam Peoples

Toni Kroos’ agent Volker Struth does not expect him to leave Bayern Munich in the summer and has played down any rumours that suggests he will.

The 24-year-old’s future has been the talk of the town since January when negotiations began to break down with Bayern over an improved contract and Manchester United have been consistently linked with him since.

However, speaking ahead of Bayern’s crucial clash, Kroos’ representative Volker Struth rubbished any potential move.

“For months we’ve been hearing all kinds of rumours, and we won’t comment on them,” he said,

“But currently I believe that Toni will stay at Bayern at least until 2015.”

If Kroos didn’t leave this summer, he’d be available on a free transfer in 2015 if Bayern did not give him the parity he is looking for with Bayern’s other big players which would give him the chance to earn a big signing on bonus wherever he moved to.

Bayern are a smart business and are unlikely to let Kroos leave for free even if they don’t intend to give him the parity he wants, so don’t be surprised if Kroos does sign a new contract and leaves in the summer  anyway, which is what is looking likely for Nani at United.

Kroos has reiterated on several occasions that he wanted to delay contract negotiations with Bayern until the summer and that remains the case, so nothing about Kroos’ future will be concrete until then.
