Toni Kroos’ agent clarifies Manchester United’s £260,000 a week offer

by Sam Peoples

Toni Kroos’ agent Volker Struth has denied that Manchester United have put in an official offer to Bayern Munich for the midfielder and insisted he would remain at the club until at least 2015.

Yesterday, reports suggested that United were ready to offer Kroos £260,000 a week to join in the summer, a move that would have given him a 500% pay rise and financial parity with United’s biggest earners.

However, Struth has categorically denied any official offer to pour cold water on the rumours that are gathering pace about United and Kroos.

“There is no official contract offer,” he said.

“Moreover, there is no need to make an official offer, because Toni Kroos will play at FC Bayern at least until 2015.”

The way everything is panning out, United will just have to wait until after the World Cup before Kroos makes any decision but it doesn’t mean that we will stop with our approaches behind the scenes, so this speculation is only going to continue.

Now, there may be some confusion as to who Kroos’ agent actually is because Moyes previously met with Sascha Breese at a Bundesliga game and he was called his agent.

Both Struth and Breese are part of the Sports Total agency which represents Kroos which, in effect, makes them both representatives of Kroos’.
