Toni Kroos scored an excellent goal last night in Bayern Munich’s 5-1 demolition of FC Kaiserslautern in the DFB Pokal semi-final.
The midfielder directed a perfectly placed first time shot from the edge of the box right into the corner.
It was a really accomplished finish made to look easy by Kroos.
His shot was from almost exactly the same spot where he scored against Arsenal in the Champions League final, so he is certainly consistent with his finishing.
Both were world class finishes from the same position but stroked home very differently which showcases Kroos’ variation with his shooting.
A midfielder consistently scoring goals from the edge of the box? Sounds like a fantasy for Manchester United fans.
Kroos played the full 90 minutes last night and has now done so in five out of his last seven appearances, so in the absence of Thiago Alcantara he is certainly getting more game time.
The more goals like this that Kroos scores, the more United fans are going to yearn for him to move to Old Trafford.
