One Brazilian midfielder who can’t help Manchester United at all

Fiorentina directors have been impressed with Anderson this season and are considering signing him on a permanent deal, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 26-year-old joined them on loan in January and despite the fact he has completed the full 90 minutes a grand total of zero times this season, these reports suggest their directors are willing to buy him.

Please Fiorentina, buy Anderson. There’s more chance of Roy Keane solving Manchester United’s midfield problems than Anderson. He had six years of chances at Old Trafford and never made a good enough impression. We can’t be sentimental with players, those who aren’t good enough have to leave.

United are going into the unknown this summer when it comes to players and the last thing we need is to bring back a midfielder who underwhelmed so much. We need new players, top quality players who can genuinely add something to the squad, not Anderson.

From his perspective as well, I’m not sure he’d want to come back and at 26, he has the opportunity to forge a career somewhere else. So, Anderson leaving would suit all parties. Let’s just hope Fiorentina or somebody else wants to buy him.
