Ryan Giggs has promised that Manchester United will return to playing attacking, excitement football under his management to make sure that fans United fans have something to smile about.
Under the pragmatic David Moyes, United’s focus was always on not conceding and it was some way removed from the traditional attacking verve that United played with over the years.
However, Giggs only knows one way – his philosophy, the United philosophy, and intends to get the players back in that frame of mind for the Norwich game tomorrow.
Speaking at his first press conference, he said: “I want to see the passion (that) comes with being a Manchester United player. It’s going to be my philosophy, the United philosophy.
“I want players playing with passion, speed, tempo, being brave with imagination.”
Giggs might not have any experience as a manager but he is United’s most decorated player and has won every possible trophy by playing attacking football. That’s not going to change now that he is manager.
“Attack, attack, attack, attack, attack.”
