Juan Mata has dedicated Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Norwich today to the fans.
The Spaniard may have only been on the pitch for 30 minutes today but it was a masterclass cameo performance and his two goals helped Manchester United to their biggest home win of the season in Ryan Giggs’ first game in charge.
Giggs admitted it was hard to leave Mata out of the starting XI but it didn’t change Mata’s mindset at all. He was a livewire as soon as he came on and didn’t sulk or mope at being left out from the start. It was the perfect, professional performance.
With five goals in his last four appearances, Mata has really started to settle at Old Trafford and if his form towards the end of this season is anything to go by, he’s going to be one of the Premier League’s most influential players again next year.
Thank you David Moyes…for signing Mata.
