Van Gaal’s ‘friend’ attacks Giggs’ performance and hints his future lies elsewhere

Raymond Verheijen was on David Moyes’ case from day one when he became Manchester United manager.

The Dutch coach lambasted Moyes’ training methods, player selection and injury management among other things, calling him a ‘Jurassic’ coach.

This week, Verheijen, a ‘friend’ who worked with Louis van Gaal at Holland, was quoted by The Mirror saying that Van Gaal was the perfect man for the Manchester United job and now, he has taken a swipe at Ryan Giggs’ performance against Sunderland.

Verheijen also sarcastically said Giggs would have more time to do coaching courses next season, indicating he would not be getting the job on a full time basis.

Subjectively – Verheijen needs to keep his nose out as he is just trying to stir the pot.

Objectively – He has been spot on with the majority of his calls this season.

Have United fans just been angry at him because we stood by our manager David Moyes? Could have been a bit of both.

Do you think Verheijen is right on this occasion? Leave your comment below.
