He was given the inaugural lifetime achievement award at Manchester United’s end of year awards tonight after nearly three decades of service to the club and it was a special moment.
Hosts of ex-players, legends and managers sent Giggs a message before Ronaldo chipped in with his own heartfelt message at the end.
“It was a pleasure to play with you. You’re a fantastic player, but a little bit old now,” he joked.

He addressed the Old Trafford crowd with a great speech and has now been given a lifetime achievement award, so we may never see Giggs running down the wing at Old Trafford again. Hopefully, he decides to pull a Ferguson and refuse to retire unless it is on a high.
