Manchester United expected to make official Marco Reus bid within days – report

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United are expected to make an official bid for Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus in the coming days, reports Simon Jones from the Daily Mail.

The future of Reus has been in the news this week following his comments after being named Bundesliga Player of the Year.

“Every player has only one career, so you want to make the most of it,” Reus said. His comments led to people suggesting he was weighing up his options and could follow the likes of Nuri Sahin and Shinji Kagawa out of Dortmund.

Bild also recently reported that United had taken the first steps towards signing Reus but how likely is it that United are about to submit an official bid for Reus?

As of right now, United don’t have a manager. Would the board risk trying to make signings without a manager fully in place beforehand?

Of course, every United fan would want these reports to be accurate given how impressive Reus has been this year for Dortmund.

However, even if United didn’t bid, Reus’ future will continue to be in question until a solution is found, leaving the possibility of a move to Old Trafford open.
