Southampton’s decision to sack academy coaches Jason Dodd and Paul Williams has not been met well by Luke Shaw who made his dismay clear.
The 18-year-old was helped through the academy by the duo and Southampton’s recent record with academy graduates is fantastic having brought through the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and many more, so their dismissal has come as a surprise.
“Gutted for doddsy and Willo, helped me a lot in my development over the years, wish them all the best in their carers,” Shaw said on Twitter.
While it doesn’t directly change anything to do with Shaw’s protracted move to Manchester United, it’s clear that Shaw is upset with the decision which could potentially help push any move through.
@bigadamsport wrong decision ????

Southampton are also reportedly lining up a move for Swansea‘s Neil Taylor as a replacement so while nothing has been made official since our second bid of £27 million went in for Shaw, there are certainly things going on behind the scenes.
