Van Gaal wants to sign Dutch duo from his World Cup squad

Louis van Gaal wants to bring Feyenoord duo Jordy Clasie and Bruno Martins Indi to Manchester United, according to The Mirror.

Both players are part of Van Gaal’s Holland squad for the World Cup and because of that, he doesn’t want to make any moves for them because of the knock-on effect it may have on them for the tournament, so will wait until it is over before doing anything the reports suggest.

It was inevitable that United were going to be linked with Dutch players following the appointment of Van Gaal and so it has proved with the likes of Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder and now this duo being labelled as targets.

Both players were named by The Peoples Person in a list of five Dutch players who could follow Van Gaal to Old Trafford and at just 22, they are certainly great prospects but the jury is out as to whether they are good enough to solve United’s issues right now.

For United fans, it will be good to see Clasie and Martins Indi in action at the World Cup because if they are able to shine on the biggest stage in world football, then there is every chance they’d thrive at Old Trafford.

To find out some more information, we’ll be speaking to some Dutch experts this week to find out their thoughts on whether Clasie and Martins Indi are capable of playing for United’s first team just yet.
