Quincy Promes has admitted he is flattered by Manchester United’s reported interest and said he’d want to come to Old Trafford.
Although the 22-year-old played down any potential move and labelled it as ‘nothing serious’, speculation will now grow because of his comments.
“Nope, I’ve heard nothing yet and my agent has heard nothing yet,” he said when asked by Sky Sports about United’s interest.
“Its nice that such a big club is calling my name but it is nothing serious.
“Everyone wants to go to Manchester United. It is a nice club but it is nothing serious.”
It’s not hard to see why Promeshas been linked with United because his hat-trick against Scotland’s Under-21s last night was fantastic.
Promes is part of Van Gaal’s 30-man provisional Netherlands squad but was allowed to join up with the Under-21s and he put himself in the best possible position to be included in the final 23 with his hat-trick against Scotland.
With a friendly against Ghana coming up on Saturday, United fans could get a chance to watch Promes in action.
