Callum Nicholas has signed a two year scholarship deal with Liverpool, his father has confirmed Twitter.
The 16-year-old was with Manchester United for 11 years but has now moved over to Merseyside in order to pursue his career elsewhere.
Nicholas was part of the winning squad from the 2013/14 Milk Cup back in July where he lined up alongside the likes of Andreas Pereira and Demetri Mitchell, but he didn’t make any appearances with the Under-18s last year following his involvement in the tournament.
Clearly he felt the time was right to call time on his association with United.
There are too many youngsters in United’s academy for every single one of them to make it the whole way through to the first team and good luck to him at Liverpool (not too much luck though, of course…)
