Jordy Clasie’s name has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United ever since Louis van Gaal took over as manager.
The 22-year-old then thrust himself into the limelight with an exquisite pass to Robin van Persie for his sublime volley against Ecuador and has earned himself a place in Van Gaal’s World Cup squad.
It was a fantastic performance from Clasie against Ecuador and although his agent has denied having any contact from United, there’s every chance he could be signed by Van Gaal this summer with midfield reinforcements so desperately needed.
Van Persie and Clasie both spent their youth with Feyenoord and clearly it is something that Clasie hasn’t forgotten about as he dug up an old picture of the pair together back at Feyenoord.

Could Clasie solve United’s midfield problems?
No, not right now. He is far from a polished diamond and is still a while away from his peak but with Van Gaal in charge, Dutch players are molre likely tjoin and having Van Persie alongside him also increases the likeliness of any move even more.
