Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic has told Novosti.rs that he has agreed a deal with Manchester United but said he was waiting on the final details of his transfer before it can be completed.
United officially announced it had agreed a deal to sign Milinkovic but reports from Serbia suggested nothing had yet been agreed.
However, Milinkovic has made it clear he will become a United player unless something goes wrong with the last stages of negotiations, presumably with regards to the finer details of the deal.
“I know that the clubs agreed, and my agent and I now can not wait to be told by Manchester scout Budimir Vujacic about agreeing the last details of my transfer,” he said.
“These details are sporting, not financial in nature, but I cant speak about them at this point.”
Milinkovic, 17, is likely to go back on loan immediately to FK Vojvodina but given that he is already a dizzy 6ft 7in tall, he is already very well developed and with Pierluigi Gollini’s departure to Hellas Verona, there’ll be opportunities for Milinkovic to progress through the ranks at United.
By the sounds of it, United may have jumped the gun by announcing the deal as official on the website but it should all be finalised soon enough.
