These reports from earlier in the week were backed up by fresh claims that Vidal’s agent had been speaking to representatives from Manchester United.
Following back to back title winning campaigns with Juventus in Italy, Vidal has propelled himself into stardom as one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe.
Vidal has constantly attracted the attention of Real Madrid and United since his move from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, at what now looks like a snip at €10m, with both clubs being linked to the Chilean midfielder on numerous occasions.
Currently away on international duty, the talented midfielder is enjoying a fruitful World Cup having qualified from Group B at the expense of holders Spain and the rumours of a bid from United have come around again because of it.
Vidal has constantly impressed when playing alongside former United man Paul Pogba and although the Italian giants failed to make an impact in the Champions League last term, it has not prevented possible suitors approaching The Old Lady for both Vidal and Pogba who are valued at almost €90m for the pair.
Although nothing is confirmed, this is a rumour is one which has cropped up time after time and with now that United have signed Ander Herrera, a midfielder with real tenacity and grit is needed to play alongside him so Vidal would be the perfect fit.
Like Ezequiel Garay and others before him, rumours linking Vidal with United won’t seem to go away. Whether or not that means United will try and sign him remains to be seen but they are growing in intensity.
