Manchester United have now officially the signing of Southampton’s Luke Shaw on a four-year contract with the option to extend for a further year.

The 18-year-old becomes United’s second signing of the summer following yesterday’s announcement of Ander Herrera and completes a fantastic 24 hours for the club.

Shaw is one of the brightest prospects in the Premier League and despite being just 18, he already has two years worth of Premier League experience under his belt and has been named in the PFA Team of the Year.

For replacing Patrice Evra, there was no better candidate than Shaw, especially when you consider he has all the capability to be United’s left-back for the next decade.

The countdown now begins for United’s pre-season to start where we will get to see new signings Herrera and Shaw in action as well as any other potential signings we complete.

Welcome to Manchester United.
