Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web.
There have been some developments in Manchester United’s pursuit of William Carvalho as Sporting Lisbon’s director suggested they had ample cover for the midfielder if he were to leave this summer. It’s a statement which effectively tells United that Carvalho is available for the right price but the question of what the right price is remains.
Toni Kroos’ move to Real Madrid has gathered pace as well and Marca suggested the Spanish giants are set to sign Kroos this summer for just €25m, a figure which is very low given his clear quality and desire to leave Bayern Munich if they refused to offer him an improved contract. For that fee, you’d have to wonder why Louis van Gaal wasn’t interested in him.
Elsewhere, United have reportedly submitted a €40m bid for Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado. Although a great signing, there are better players out there such as Alexis Sanchez who are available for that sort of price.
Marouane Fellaini is reportedly not in Van Gaal’s plans for next season and conversely, Ander Herrera is expected to play a really important role for the make-up of the team.
