With the first game of the pre-season only 20 days away, Ander Herrera has started training in his Manchester United colours ahead of the first game against LA Galaxy.
Herrera, 24, wasn’t part of Spain’s World Cup squad so has come back to training earlier than those who were involved and it won’t be long before he is joined by the full squad.
Ryan Giggs is going to take charge of United until Louis van Gaal returns from international duty with Holland and he has given special praise to new signing Herrera.
“Ander is a fantastic young player, with great energy and creativity,” Giggs said.
“We believe him to be one of the brightest young prospects in Spain and I am certain he will be a big hit with the United fans.
“I’m delighted he has made the decision to come to Manchester and play his part in the club’s future.
“I’m looking forward to seeing him in action on our summer tour to America.”

If all goes to plan, it might be less than three weeks before we get to see Herrera in a United shirt for the first time.
