Juventus remain very keen on signing Patrice Evra this summer and are still waiting to hear back from Manchester United over a final decision, according to Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.
Earlier this week, Di Marzio broke the story that Juventus had agreed personal terms with Evra over a move to the Old Lady this summer and has followed it up by claiming Juventus are insistent about signing Evra and haven’t abandoned hope a deal can be concluded.
Having signed a new one-year contract extension, the good news is that Evra wouldn’t be able to leave for free like Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand did but it remains to be seen what the Frenchman decides to do.
There is the chance he wouldn’t be happy at being the second choice left-back at United but hopefully that isn’t the case because Evra’s presence at United will make such a difference to Shaw.
Now that France have been eliminated from the World Cup, expect this situation to develop quite quickly but the overwhelming majority of United fans don’t want him to leave the club this summer.
