Manchester United transfer gossip: Vidal talks opened, United trio tipped for summer exit

The latest update from Italy on Manchester United’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal is that the club has held talks with Juventus over a move for Vidal but no negotiations have begun at this stage.

Juventus have no intention of letting Vidal leave this summer and they will not make it easy for United to pursue the Chilean midfielder.

That being said, the Manchester Evening News has suggested Nani’s sale could be pivotal in United’s pursuit of Vidal and also reported that, contrary to Gianluca Di Marzio’s comments, no contact has been made yet. When it comes to Italian transfer news, Di Marzio is very reliable.

Elsewhere, the Daily Mail has reported that Arsenal have agreed a fee for Alexis Sanchez and separately that Wilfried Zaha could be on his way to Newcastle this season.

In terms of news with regards to defensive targets, United have had a bid turned down for Atletico Madrid’s Miranda according to Marca.

With regards to Patrice Evra, further reports from Italy suggest he has already agreed a deal to join Juventus and is simply waiting for a blessing from United to complete the move.
