Crerand: Manchester United could make 2 signings before flying out on tour

Paddy Crerand has done nothing to calm the current transfer storm by suggesting Manchester United could sign two more players before flying to USA this Friday.

Having already signed Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw, United’s summer is only set to get busier between now and September with Louis van Gaal keen to make further additions to his squad.

Speaking on his MUTV show, Crerand’s comments will only further fuel speculation linking the likes of Arturo Vidal and Daley Blind with a move to Old Trafford.

“Manchester United could make two signings before they fly out for the pre-season tour of USA,” Crerand said.

Crerand usually says what he wants when he wants on MUTV so he could simply be taking a stab in the dark and with just over 72 hours until the team flies out to begin the pre-season tour of USA, there would certainly have to be some very swift movement if anything were to happen before Friday.

However, the signing of Herrera went from the story being broken in the Spanish press to a deal being confirmed all within the space of 72 hours, so the possibility is there from United’s perspective in theory. The reality could be entirely different of course.
