Manchester United’s squad numbers for the 2014/15 season haven’t yet been released but it looks like Ander Herrera may be keeping the same number he wore at Athletic Bilbao.
In the Basque club, Herrera wore No. 21 and yesterday, there were a couple of clues to suggest he’ll be taking Angelo Henriquez’s first team squad number when they are announced.
At Carrington yesterday, Herrera was wearing the No. 21 training kit. Although the kits don’t necessarily correlate to a squad number, as seen previously, given that Henriquez was also present at training, it may well be indicative of what is to come.
Also, when Herrera signed an autograph for a fan outside Carrington in the morning, he added No. 21 underneath his signature.

It would make sense for United to give Herrera No. 21 if only for the Spaniard to have continuity, which would mean the famous No. 7 shirt is still up for grabs next season.
