Robin van Persie‘s wonder goal against Spain from the World Cup has been immortalised by an artist on a favela wall in Brazil.
Van Persie’s flying leap was one of the most iconic moments of the tournament, so much so that it will be remembered forever with this drawing.
Brazil really didn’t have many fond memories to take out of the World Cup but it’s great to see the lasting impact that some other countries had on them.
Van Persie has seen the mural and expressed how honoured he was for the mural to have been drawn.
Im very honoured with this art piece in Brazil. Proud to be decorating a wall in Rio. Compliments to the artist!! pic.twitter.com/R92UytWZAr
