He claims that United have been in talks with Vidal’s agent for some time now and that a €50m bid will be placed ‘sooner or later from Manchester United for Vidal.
Pedulla goes on to explain that Juventus’ strategy with Vidal will be to dig their heels in and take their time as the situation in Turin is complicated following the mutual departure of Antonio Conte, indicating any deal could take longer to go through, something which would tie into Van Gaal’s desires of having more time to test his squad.
Vidal himself has been busy on his holidays as he has opened the door to a move by saying he’d listened to United rumours.
“I always enjoy this type of events because I cant share a moments with kids,” Vidal said at an inauguration charity event at his training complex in Chicureo.
“I’ve listened rumours of United and Real [Madrid], but that’s the job of my agent.
“Now, I’m trying to spend time with my family and kids because I’m on my vacations.”
Furthermore, Vidal refused to commit to Juventus in order to keep his options open: “You can’t say I’ve completed a cycle at Juve. If I stay, I intend to continue doing things well.”
Juventus might not want to sell Vidal but what has become abundantly clear is that he is more than open to the idea of leaving Serie A, so it’s down to United to make a move if they want him.
