More than 80,000 fans packed into the Rose Bowl last night to see Manchester United take on LA Galaxy and were not disappointed by the football that was on display.
In Louis van Gaal‘s first game, United played some wonderful slick football based heavily around quick passing and movement that was synonymous with Holland’s successful World Cup campaign.
Spaniard’s Mata and Herrera thrived in that style of play and were integral to United’s dominance of the game and long may it continue.

Next up for United is the Guinness Champions Cup and the first game will be against AS Roma on Saturday (kick off 9.06 GMT) and if Herrera and Mata can play as well as they did against LA Galaxy, it will put United in good stead to have another strong performance against AS Roma.
