Manchester United transfer gossip: Vidal says he’s happy at Juventus, Di Maria update

by Sam Peoples

Here is the latest Manchester United transfer gossip from around the web including the latest on Arturo Vidal, Angel di Maria and Juan Cuadrado.

Last night, the reports from Italy were substantial on Vidal as Gazzetta dello Sport claimed his agent would be presenting an offer of €60m from Manchester United to Juventus. Gianluca Di Marzio backed up reports his agent was in Turin but stopped short of mentioning fees.

Now, Juventus’ CEO Guiseppe Marotta has intimated that if Vidal wants to leave, he had to make it clear to the club, placing the ball firmly back in Vidal’s court.

Following on from that almost immediately, Tuttosport are running fresh quotes from Vidal that say: “If I stay at Juventus, I am happy.” Hardly re-assuring for any Juventus fans as Vidal is sitting on the fence with regards to his future at the club. We’ll take a look at this in more detail later today.

Real Madrid’s Angel di Maria is back in the news as Carlo Ancelotti has said he is going to be part of the pre-season tour but didn’t go as far as to clarify his future with the club. Given how uncertain his future was last summer and how his place now looks under threat due to the arrival of James Rodriguez, his position in the Santiago Bernabeu looks ominous.

One of United’s Dutch targets Stefan de Vrij also completed a move to Lazio which rules him off United’s list along with Bruno Martins Indi who moved to Porto recently.
