Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie has been linked with a move to Manchester United ever since Louis van Gaal took over as boss and the midfielder may well be on his way out of the Eredivisie club.
While earlier reports of Clasie handing in a transfer request have proved to be unsubstantiated, his agent has refused to rule out a transfer this summer.
A diminutive player, Clasie became heavily linked with United prior to the World Cup after providing a wonderful assist to Robin van Persie to volley home in a friendly against Ecuador.
Clasie made 32 appearances for Feyenoord last year in the Eredivisie scoring seven goals and providing four assists from central midfield and at 23, he is not yet the finished product.
United are severely lacking in midfield depth and someone like Clasie who is young and not yet completely established would surely bring some strength in depth to the squad, but it remains to be seen if Van Gaal will make a move for him.
